Millier showcases Regent’s Crescent interiors
Architecture and interiors studio Millier has unveiled its design concept for the residences at Regent’s Crescent, London’s only Grade I listed new-build development.
Helen Westlake, Creative Director of Millier: “It was important for us to understand and celebrate the historical significance of Regent’s Crescent; the building stands as an icon so we understood the necessity to maintain the grandeur of John Nash’s work throughout the project, and carefully applied traditional principles to result in spaces for beautiful contemporary living. This has resulted in unique new-build apartments within a Grade I listed façade.
“All apartment layouts at Regent’s Crescent are unique, which represented an incredible opportunity to create bespoke and interesting spaces through the translation of our principle design details. Every apartment differing so markedly has led us to design to a level of bespoke detail usually unheard of in a modern residential development. However, across all residences there is no stark transition of styles; it was important to us that each residence retains the Regency context in its interiors.
“The mid-tone palette we used throughout the interiors embraces the heritage fabric but also leaves the opportunity for residents to contribute their own pieces, taking the building from the past to the modern era.”
